History of the case The patient was a Hindu Bengali, aged 30 years, a primigravida in her seventh month of pregnancy. The abdomen was tense and appeared like full term. Foetal parts could not be made out nor the fetal heart sounds heard. Excess of liquor amnii was diagnosed.
